On Wednesday 10th February 33 people enjoyed a Chocolate Evening at the Library. Joanne Harris, author of 'Chocolat' and several other best selling titles gave a fascinating talk about the history of chocolate. She was followed by the Minister of Chocolate, Carl Turner who gave a wonderful demonstration of how to make three absolutely yummy truffles.
Then, after a break, while the audience enjoyed a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, many of us had a chance to try our hand at making truffles for ourselves which we thoroughly enjoyed. Others just liked the chance to socialize and meet old and new friends. The atmosphere was great and thanks both to Joanne and Carl who have promised to come back next year for another talk and chocolate session - and to everyone else who came and made it such a great evening!
